As part of the STEAM Education Group, British International School of Uppsala (BISU) will be opening in August 2021 as premium British and International School in the heart of Uppsala, Sweden.
The British International school , Uppsala (BISU) will commence the admissions in February 2021, the school will open in August 2021 for grades K through Grade 10 and will add grades 11 and 12 in the subsequent years. The school’s ultimate capacity will be 1500 students.
The British international school, Uppsala will follow the National Curriculum for England. The school’s curriculum will also integrate technology, featuring hands-on project-based learning, innovative teaching methods, technology initiatives and worldwide partnerships with leading experts and organizations in technology-related research and practice.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Learning Support Teacher to join us for the upcoming academic year from August 2021. This is an exciting opportunity for a specialized educator who is excited to join our STEAM schools and is driven to provide education at an exceptional level.

The successful applicant will have the following:
A relevant Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification specializing in Special Education.
At least 2 years’ demonstrable experience teaching/supporting special needs students in an international School.
Preference will be given to Learning Support Specialists with British school experience.
Have solid and demonstrable knowledge about behaviour management strategies, including encouragement of good behaviour and discipline.
Have belief that all students have the potential for top performance and hence recognize a teacher’s motivation, drive and passion as invaluable in enabling student success.
Be willing to develop skills to acquire further knowledge and to continuously improve in a professional teaching and learning environment.
Be well-organized and an effective communicator to be able to influence students, parents, teachers and school leaders.
