Experis is currently looking for a Data Engineer to join a Data & Analytics team where you will play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making by developing, optimizing, and maintaining modern data platforms.
About the Role
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines that ensure the right data is available for analytics, reporting, and business-critical decision-making.
You will work with large and complex datasets in modern cloud environments where performance, data quality, and availability are critical requirements. The role combines deep technical expertise with close collaboration across business teams, analysts, architects, and other engineering teams.
This position offers a high degree of ownership and the opportunity to influence technical solutions, ways of working, and best practices within data engineering and platform development.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data platforms and data pipelines
- Design, implement, and optimize data flows for large-scale datasets
- Work with data warehousing and data modeling
- Ensure high performance, reliability, and availability of the data platform
- Optimize BigQuery solutions and data processing workflows
- Build and enhance solutions using DBT and Jinja SQL
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Develop and maintain CI/CD processes in GitHub
- Integrate and manage data from event-streaming platforms such as Kafka
- Collaborate with analysts, architects, and business stakeholders on data requirements and solution design
- Document solutions and establish best practices and development standards
We Are Looking For Someone Who Has
- Extensive experience with DBT and Jinja SQL
- Extensive experience with Terraform
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including:
- BigQuery
- Dataflow
- Cloud Functions
- Cloud Run
- Cloud Build
- Experience with GitHub CI/CD
- Experience with Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms
- Strong understanding of Data Warehousing and data modeling methodologies such as Kimball
- Experience optimizing BigQuery performance and data pipelines
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
Meritorious Experience
- Python
- IAM and platform administration
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude
- Fluent Swedish
- Experience working with modern Data Mesh or Data Platform environments
