Essentia Protein Solutions in Stidsvig is looking for a Business Development Manager for biproducts

Essentia Protein Solutions is a global company producing high premium ingredients for consumption. Our animal protein solutions improve functionality, taste and nutritional qualities in various foods and beverages. With a strong focus on competitiveness and supply chain excellence we turn every process into a value stream, for example biproducts.

On our factory in Stidsvig, Sweden, we produce bone broth from bones from various species. On a yearly basis we produce 15 000 metric tons of calcium as a biproduct from the bone broth production. We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth, build and maintain customer relationships, and ensure smooth sales of calcium. You will be reporting to the Plant Manager and the location for this role is Stidsvig. Travelling will be a part of the role.

Responsibility and tasks

You will get the responsibility of selling bi-products, primarily calcium, which will include the following tasks:

develop new and attractive bi-products to find new sales channels

identify and attract new customers

develop and maintain relationships with customers with openness and clear shared ambitions

sales backup, proactive follow-up and feedback to customers

be a proactive, competent sparring partner for our customers and stakeholders

bidding, contract negotiation and other commercial matters

Professional and personal competencies

You have a technical or commercial education and/or have experience of trading bi-products and raw materials. Alternatively, another relevant education and preferably several years of experience from a similar job

We emphasize that you

are independently able to identify customer potential and development opportunities for the customer relationship

have a commercial development-based mindset with a natural eye for a good customer experience

have technical insight into calcium chemistry, food production, feed production or related industrial processes.

have knowledge of certifications, export regulations, and licensing requirements.

have good numerical skills, analytical approach, structured planning skills and possess good business acumen

are outgoing, adaptable, have a natural high drive and a positive mindset

are a team player and also thrives with responsibility for your own tasks

willingness to travel internationally to meet customers and partners.
